Do you know how to clean the well?
First you should take a ladder, a shoulder blade, a bucket and an iron brush, and then you have to exhaust all the water… Although why do you need that? Water is in the faucet…
Why does Alexander see his dead dad and this well in the yard every night?
Why is Alexander’ dad always talking about a well and never about whether he loved his son? Beloved ones die and there is emptiness… There was a family – and where are they now?
And who is this Albert, who for some reason thinks he can help? Somehow you need to live on – since someone needs to clean the well…
…Maybe this night Alexander finally will not yell in his dreams: “Did you love me, dad?”
The show by director Stas Zhyrkov and Golden Gate Theatre team will surely stir, but it is unlikely that it will reduce the pain from the loss of loved ones. Even if they are quite close, but far away. Family ties, like ropes of insurance, keep us in this world … or maybe, even in that where no one came back.
