The Russian Drama Theater of Lithuania presents to the audience of the COM.MEDIA festival the performance "Ice slide" directed by Lera Surkova. The performance, based on the play "Ice slide" by Alexei Zhitkovsky, one of the most interesting contemporary Russian playwrights, touches a particularly sensitive topic of the little people and their daily heroism.
The main character of the play, Nastia, is a young kindergarten teacher, who faces the absurdity of daily life. The young woman has learned to be a fighter, capable to survive in a cold and demanding world. Everything changes, when her hardened heart has encountered a real anomaly - a boy from a foreign family named Ozod, who can’t even speak Russian properly. Nastia’s businesslikeness and aggression transforms into maternal tenderness and the instinct of a humane approach to people awakens. But can a humanist survive in this world, ask the creators of the performance "Ice slide".
